If you are interested in personal development coaching Inspire coaches are all BCU (British Canoe Union) and Canoe Wales qualified to a high level and are very experienced outdoor professionals. We operate with a low coach to student ratio to ensure quality time on the water and appropriate coaching. With safety and adventure in mind we will take you to appropriate locations and coach relevant skills to ensure you achieve the most from your course. Alternatively, courses can be run from your venue using the lakes and rivers local to you.
Inspire can offer BCU Level 1 and 2 Paddlesport coach courses. Ideally located close to the River Wye and with the rivers of South Wales only a short drive away allowing a large choice of venue to use appropriate to your course, whatever the weather and water level. Courses are run throughout the year, so call us now to check availability. Before applying for a qualification course candidates must register with their national office. This will involve already holding all pre–requisites for the appropriate course. Details can be obtained from The British Canoe Union.
Inspire can offer the following:
For the intermediate or advanced paddlers, who are competent of grade two/three water and also a pre-requisite to the 4 star leadership award. This course is two days in duration with the emphasis on prevention. The course covers leadership skills, personal skills, safety rescue skills and first aid techniques. Due to the nature of this course it is generally only available during the winter months.
Mountain bike instructor award scheme offers the opportunity to gain competence in leading cyclists in both on and off road environments. Completion of a training course alone, without taking an assessment course is not a qualification in itself, although it may be of considerable benefit to the trainee.

With a range of qualified and experience instructors, most of which are national governing body trainers, we are able to offer 1 to 1 or 1 to 2 pre assessment days in canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing, mountain biking and navigation skills.
